Is this a good 32" mower? Looks like it has a shallow deck. Comes with a 13HP Kawasaki. If anyone has any experience with it, most importantly how it mulches please let me know thanks.

I have the pro 1336g. I give it a 5 out of 10. Mulching, two passes normally take care of it. If I had the chance to buy again? If only hydro not gear drive.

Wow, 5/10 seems pretty low. I guess the shallow deck keeps it from mulching well?

I had a Pro-G 1332 and to be honest I did not care for the cut. I did like the pro controls better than pistol grips [kinda of reminded me of my toro t-bar but not quite as good] but took off the OPC bars because they hurt my hands. I think I would rate it a 4 or 5 on cut and a 7 or 8 on the rest of the mower.

Just picked up a used 2003 model this past summer. Runs great and is built very solid, but have to agree with others on cut quality, not the greatest. It leaves some grass blades standing up between the two blades, so it takes two overlapping passes to make a clean cut. It kind of defeats the purpose of a 32" when you still only cut like a 21". However with the mulch kit on, I use it to destroy leaves in the fall. Seems to do well on rough yards with overgrown grass.
