Could anyone out there tell me if the Gravely Z34 has a stamped deck or a welded deck? And If anyone has had problems with it staling? Thanks!!!!

darrenfix, the deck is welded on my 2004 model. Stalling has not been a problem. This is a good size residental mower. Very finicky on hills! I have to know my limitations or I will be in trouble quick. It is fast, can get into tight spots. My next buy will be a 52", probably scag.

Do a search on this mower, there must be atleast 20 posts about it. Pm me if you have any questions.

Welded deck. Only stamped commercial rider deck out there is the deere 7-iron. I have had some slight trouble with my 44z stalling out and being gutless after 15minutes of mowing. If I feather the hydros during, it will go away, very strange though. Tried cleaning the carb, helped for awhile now it is back. Let me know if your machine is doing the same, thanks.

Your loss of power may be from a fuel delivery problem. Gravely has a service bulletin out, B-2006, that tells how to fix the trouble. Your dealer can get the repair kit that is listed in the service bulletin, and install it under warranty. It involves changes to the fuel selector valve, and fuel lines.
My guess, is that this kit will fix your problem with your 44Z.
