It was announced today in Lawn & Landscape E-newsletter that a company called Auburn Consolidated, manufacturer of EverRide, has signed a letter of intent with John Deere to purchase the Great Dane line.

this may be for the best, the last dane i had was an old surfer model- not super surfer. it had the fixed deck and not a lot of bells and whistles, but it could take hills like a billygoat.
i bought a new jd quick track this year and am not impressed, it has the floating deck and they have moved all the weight forward on it. it definitely does not get around as well as my old dane or the wright standers, which still have fixed deck and weight further to the back. i understand a lot of this is for comfort, but you still need to be able to take the steep grades too. imo
