What is the best option with the Great Dane Standers? The floating deck or the rigid mount?
and this goes for all of them.
Here's the biggest issue I see with the fixed vs floating.
If you have a real steep pitch on your tailgate for your trailor, the fixed decks can get stuck. With the floating, you can raise the deck all the way up when you take it on and off the trailor.
Otherwise, i don't see much of a difference, even with scalping.
Also if you get hung up on the Job a floating will save you in the same way.
I love my Super Surfer 2, only had the deck belt tension spring break, that was a nightmare to change out without a spring tool. Traveling at full speed the kid ran into a light pole that broke that spring (still not figured that one out) tough little unit.
