Last year we didnt get the rain needed to wash it down at the recommended time. Then in the fall, we started getting some rain. Thats when I noticed some damage. Its hard to time it on big properties that dont have irrigation. Hopefully this year will be a better year as far as temps and rain.

thanks guys. always looking to better my program. I've not been doing this very long, but have never treated for grubs. With the insecticides mixed in with fertilizers it would be an easy addition to the program. I've always looked at grubs and disease as an add on and treated when seen.

Acelepryn sounds like it's the best answer for grub control, but it's terribly expensive. The main ingredient of Acelepryn (chlorantranilprole (sp?)) should be reaching the market in a year, making this treatment affordable.
I've had good luck with Dylox 6.2 granular, but it absolutely must be watered in which is a gamble on large, non-irrigated lawns. I've waited for tropical storms, putting it down just ahead of the storm and then had the storm peter out before it reached me.

Dylox is what I use for treating customers who didn't want the much cheaper merit w/fert app. I push the pretreat in my program over post treating with dylox. Usually there is already damage when you realize it's time for dylox.

Its extra on top of our program, everyone gets it or you don't get us. We used to have it as an optional application till a customer that didn't sign for it lost his lawn, he blamed me badmouthed my company that we did this, even though he refused to sign on for that service. Never again

I do not include insect treatment as routine but inspect for them.

The AL for grubs is about 7 per SF.

Only on lawns that have had them in the past.
