All that I have ever been around is 3/4 and 1 tons for the snow removal. Even at the airport we use 100 hp Deere with blades. Has anyone tried out one of these plows on their truck. I just looked at the advertisement here on LS and was curious if they are a truck killer*trucewhiteflag* or a possibility for the fleet.

Half tons will work, I remeber a time around here when thats all anyone had was a Half Ton. You just have to be a little more gentle with them, and DON't go putting a heavy 8' or larger plow on one. Stick with the old standard 7'6 plows, and use low range whenever possible.

Blizzard plows make a nice LT truck plow. We have installed quite a few of them this year on F150s and they work good.
