In this photo both of the downstream valves had started leaking....didn't think the controller could handle 3 valves plus the master all at one time...

Yup, I've seen the "double valve" on occasion. Not as bad as the zone of risers with ball valves on them, someone's solution to keeping a valve from passing water, but pretty darn close!

    Boots been a culprit?

    oh buddy

My boss told me to do 2 master valves in series once.... I told him I did it but didn't do it because it's just stupid.

I don't know why you guys would be guilty of it.. I mean the horribleness of the original system wasn't your fault to begin with.

That sort of thing ceased when I stopped being an employee.

The distributor hung this photo at his counter for several weeks...The worst part was the removal of the valves, buried in a red clay and flint hillside.

Took me a while to find this. It is on the outside of an eye doctor office. I post it because we talked a week or so ago about the lame hack wiring situation on another photo. They haven't let me replace it yet, and the only reason I continue to work on the system, is that I charge them a lot for start up and shut down. I know, I know, I should turn it down, but someone has to work on it, and when they finally get it replaced, I want to be the one to do it.
