Hall of hacks & pikers Photo's please.

    I encountered one with a 24" cobra connector because they poured wider stairs. Of course that meant the PVC ell was embedded with one end of the cobra underneath. They called me out because somehow the cobra split and there was water coming out form underneath the stairs. I had to go at it carefully with my hand sledge and chisel and chip as much concrete out as I could w/o cracking the stairs.

    Looks like they still make them. Do any of you use them? I thought they were nifty when they first came out. I'd hate to have to service any jobs where I installed them now.

    I used 'em when they first came out. Unfortunately they are prone to clogging if debris gets into them.

    I've seen (read: replaced) a few of those.

    The irrigation version of smurf pipe.

    And here's why: pump and well about 10 ft. down in a pit.

    So he could prime the pump without bending over?

    Take another look (and guess) - no way to prime this without the help of a stepladder...

    for the same reason a blue whale's throat is the size of a dinner plate.

    Looks like he had to elevate from the norm.
