I see, now I know why the customer said "oh well"
It's no worse than a DCVA on an irrigation system.

    How is that?

All Fire sprinkler systems are DCVA's too

You gonna complain about this picture too? a 6" fire dcva I tested yesterday in a vault 10' down. Get with the program and accept different regions have different rules and stop complaining about it

    we actually didn't

We first went there 2 months ago and there was water 3' above the dcva. Told the client we would have to rent a trash pump to get the water out. They wanted to wait it out instead to see if it drained some.

I put on some hip waiters and did the test..it twas gross!

Fixed a break on a lateral at a Mcdonalds that was 3" below grade, go figure it broke. Anyway boss goes over to find the SVC near the drive thru, because whenever Mcdonalds remodels the drive thrus they make sure to hack everything and blame it on others. Anyway, long story short the mower ate the box lid and the svc is a 1/2" below the grass with no cover. D'oh! Wish I had a camera. Like the pic with the 5000 series elbowed down maybe mount some along a gutter?
