Would someone give me a round about estimate for installing 160 foot of 4' black drainage tubing? With about 3 foot going under a side walk? WOuld use a trencher but home owner requested not to b/c routing through the landscape! I estimated the cost of all material to be $110. I thought of placing a bid for Instalation for $570 completed! An estimate of $460 dollars of labor! Does that sound ball park?

I would quote it around $1,000 to 1,200, but we wouldn't use black ads pipe we would use shedule 30 solid pipe, holds up much better, nothing can grow into it and can be snaked out it it gets clogged, the black pipe can't properly be cleaned.

Sorry but just curious, if you could have used the trencher would you have charged more or less? I don't see how you could use a piece of powered equipment and only charge $400. My bid would be the same either way, but then again we own the equipment.

Time and materials. Doing this by hand will take a while longer therefore more labor.

Would rather sub it out believe me! But under the wishes of the home owner not wanting to take the chance of trashing the lawn, route the ditch through the existing landscape. I want to get the job due to the area it is located in! Im curious how long it would really take to hand dig that with the route also goin under a side walk!

I think I would charge $100-150 just for the under sidewalk part if not more. I foresee that taking an easy hour or more. I am curious as to how you plan to complete that portion of this project. After you get it dug out, how are you going to fill it all back in?

I think I would charge about $3-4/foot for this, plus sidewalk.

    That makes it
    Materials 110
    General Labor 3.5*160 = 560
    Sidewalk fee 150
    Total 820
