i'm doing a walk with steps and the client ask for a hand rail.. any ideas other than wood & pipe..
Call a railing company. If your making steps using retaining wall block, you may want to fill the end blocks with cement to make them strong. Also, the railing company will core drill into the blocks for anchoring. Filling them with stone will just hamper the drilling and not allow the railing to recess easily.
we have used modified tree stakes in the past. it makes a nice looking natural railing. or if you are looking for something a little more formal, Trex colonial rails are nice.
