Hardscaping Hacks - Pics

    Concerning that retaining wall build, do these walls need to be inspected or require a permit? The liability of that wall coming down the hill into the road is quite large. This looks like something done in a third world country not Canada or the USA.

    If it's Allen Block, then supposedly the hollow core design is supposed to allow for drainage. But, looks like a Rockwood block to me.


    Regardless, I would never back fill with dirt even if it was Allen Block.


    Gotta give them some credit though for actually filling the block with CA-6 like your supposed to.

    Once you took this apart what was the main problem? Did they just not level and pitch it properly, or was there simply to base to support it?

    Aside from being aesthetically unappealing I just think this is stupid. I would have just insisted the gutters be changed.

    Why the hell is there 50?k worth of excavator and attachments on that job? It doesn't even look like they dug anything out
