I've never done mailings, other than to my existing customers. ALL, and I mean ALL, junk mail like that at my house, goes in the recycle bid before I step in the door. Google ads is where it's at, in my opinion, to generate customers other than from referrals.

I haven't got a single hit on google Adwords.

I spend $100 a week minimum on a budget, with no conversions

When I do G Ads, I spend a fraction of that, and get dozens of hits and conversions. You may be doing it wrong. Heck, I was spending about $50 a MONTH, and got so many that I turned it off. Your website needs to be built right, and the ads need to have the right search criteria, as well as setting it up for YOUR area. You don't want someone 1000 miles away clicking the ad that you pay per click.

I'm going to delete everything and restart Adwords.

When you enter your link on Adwords, do you send it to your contact form or what?

Hey Whiffyspark. You are probably not getting any hits from your website because people can't find it. Unfortunately, in order to be more visible on a google search or bing search SEO or search engine optimization is what you need. Chances are people are searching things like "lawn mower companies [and then your town or city] and those companies investing in SEO or those companies that have had a website for some time now, are going to come up first. If you have extra cash to spend, I say hire someone to do some seo. Unfortunately, SEO tends to be pretty pricey.

Try out doing some social media, that tends to help in some cases. Other things you can do is put up fliers in places that deal with outdoors. Places like Home Depot and Hardware stores.

    Hope this helped!

I took your advice. I had my website redone.

SEO is still lacking because I don't understand it, but I'm using adwords

Home Advisor is where it's at for me. I lose a few here and there, but it is worth it for the ones I do get. If you go that route, always ask the customer for a review on how you did and then direct match leads will start pouring in if you are in a good market.
