we payed all our bills and never even made a claim its no wonder they are not carring work comp doing there customers like that. Our new company ask us monthly what or payout is and that is the way it should be done. I'M NOT PAYING:angry:

Comp will be based upon a $ amount per $100 of payroll. You must have had an audit (i.e. you sent in 941's to firemans at the very least) that shows you had more payroll than you were charged premiums for. If that is the case you are obligated to pay.

    It's all in the details....

Yep your deposit premium for worker's comp is based on the estimated payroll you give the company. If payroll is higher then you owe additional premium, if less, you get money back. The contract gives the company the right to audit your books. Did you send the information to them on a voluntary audit form? If so, it is possible you made a mistake. Comp has lots of tricky rules about overtime pay and excluded payroll. Make sure you sent the correct information.
Many companies are restricting capacity to higher profit lines of business. The bottom line is that worker's compensation is social insurance and insurance companies have lost a bunch of money providing the coverage.
By the way, if you owe and don't pay, the company will report you to the National Council on Compensation Insurance. If you happen to have to go to the assigned risk pool for coverage, and you are in a state where the pool is administered by NCCI, they will require you to pay the outstanding premium before providing coverage.
