I am building up the sides of my 1988 F-150 so I can haul more grass in the spring or yard debris. I was wondering if anyone did this with a F-150 and if it was to heavy for the truck. I have a 8'X16' trailer that has a ZTR and a 36" walkbehind on it, so that is some more weight on the tongue of the hitch also. Just wanted to know if it could handle it ok. Thanks

I don't know the GVWR of the 1988 F-150, but depending on the way you load your trailer, you should be ok. If you find that it squats too much, you could get helper springs for the rear. I've known people to get the Timbren rubber-type and like them a lot.
