have you ever accidentally stolen from a customer?

like you needed a rake to clean up some clumped grass but yours broke so the customer let you use theirs and you mistakenly put it in your truck. i guess its not really stealing but anyway, has anyone ever had something like that happen to them?

well, i was at my mom's house today and she said i had left my mulch shovel at her house so she stuck it in her building. problem is i dont have a mulch shovel. i go to her building and its the next door neighbor's snow shovel. thats what made me think of this thread.

It wouldn't be stealing if you take it back.

Cant say I have, but I have had people just grab my tools to use them for a minute without asking, and have had guys leave tools at houses that disappear and then turn up again a year later weathered and leaning on the shed.
