    96 olds cuttlass 200k

acting funny when starting, very sparatic. does it more when it's warm

acting like it is flooding when trying to start.

had my mechanic check it out and can't find a thing wrong with it.
he replaced the fuel pump about 3 months ago.

he said the bump is working fine. i'm kinda thinking he replace the pump when it was probably working fine. $350 later

could it be my fuel pressure regulator?

he said he checked it and it looked fine but you never know?

does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

does what when starting? if you think it's flooding then do you see a lot of black smoke after it starts? does it run fine after starting? if it has a carburator on it then maybe the needle seat or float letting fuel load up while not running? if fuel injected then you may have a cold start valve problem. maybe it's the distributor cap and/or rotor breaking down under a cold start up. give us more info

I would say a fuel pressure ragulator. It should be prety easy to get to, right on the fuel rail. There is a vaccum line on the top of it, if it has any signs of gas around it, it is bad. That would be the best place to start.
