I've got a 252 gravely that has factory headlights..or so it did... left it off the trailer for a couple days and my lab pup decided to rip them off into 100 pieces....that being said... what's brightest headlights out there? Can't decide to order new factory ones or get something better... they were not very bright...

Your dog did you a favor, you don't need headlights to cut grass.

Not true... we have to use them plenty of times to justify having em....nice to have when needed.

The max would be determined by the mower's charging system, the load without the lights on and the size of the wiring. A 25 watt 12 volt bulb draws roughly 2 amps. To determine amps just divide the watts by the volts.

You'll have to do some research. Find out the size of the wire going to the headlights. Get your model and spec number from the engine and found out what the charging system produces. Most mowers also have an electric blade clutch, you'll need to get the model number and find out how much current it draws. Google can answer any questions that you may have like "How do I find out what size wire I have?" To be safe and not draw any more power than you must, and to be assured that the battery will be charged, I wouldn't go over 50% of the rated allowable load between the clutch and headlights.

subscribing to this thread. I have an Exmark with a 27 Kohler Command Pro and I am interested in putting lights on it this year. There have been many times pushing though dusk I wish I had them.

Honestly, you all have gotten as much from me as I'm willing to put out. Just do what I told woodlawnservice to do. It's not hard.
