Anyone know of affordable insurance for independant contractors/lawncare. I've been checking around just to find most of them about $350-400 per month and $2,000 deductable. I'm only 27 and a clean bill of health. There has got to be a better way.

Check out the HSA plans. You put about 200 per month in an IRA type savings acount and if needed you pay the deductible out of that savings. The insurance is about 150 for someone your age.

Same money but you get to keep the money of you don't use it on the deductible in an interest bearing savings account.

This another great Idea promoted by Bush but no one pays attention.

See if you state has something.New York has a thing called Healthy NY and it's based on income and family members if you have any. And being self-employed they work off the bottom line.

I know Blue Cross Blue Shield has good rates. I am 27 and I looked at a rate for about $100 a month.

    Check out their website.
