I went for a estimate today for pruning. They wanted there large hedges trimmed around there property. There was about 15 of them. I gave a estimate of $1,100 does this sound fair or to expensive.?

How many hours do you think it should take you to do it?

got a pic to show these large hedges? large hedges that I know of can be 4ft long to 200ft. kind of like mowing 15 properties for 1,100 total. that could be a great price or a brutal price. details

I look at the job and figure out how much clipping I have to haul out of the job and how long it would take me to trim, then base my estimate on that

Usually try to get $50/hr trimming hedges or trees

A better question is how long to trim a hedge X' long, X' high, X' wide, in an hr. Then multiply by your hr rate.

I have found 30' and hour.

Honestly seems high, but I need pictures to confirm this.
