I am looking to purchase a new gas hedge trimmer and was looking at brands like husqavarna and echo. What is the best trimmer for the price. If anyone has a specific trimmer that has been well worth the price please tell me.

I've owned both the Husqvarna and Echo tirmmers. The husqvarna cut much better than the echo in my opinion and were much easier to use. If you are looking for a pair of the pole hedge trimmers the husqvarna are the best I've used eventhough I have not used the Shindaiwa (my favorite brand).

Have only used the echo and the shindaiwa-no comparison-the echo just wasn't powerful enough

I own all husqvarna hedge trimmers, very nice equipment. Id pick that over anything out there.

If you want them pretty cheap order them from www.northwestpowertool.com

I own a echo double sided and don't have any complaints. Good piece of equipment. I haven't owned the other but i do have a shindaiwa line trimmer that is far better then any of my echo trimmers. I think it really comes down to wieght and how it feels in your hand. I would assume they are all pretty close in price and reliability. Good Luck

I have decided to go ahead and buy a troy-bilt add on peice for my stick platform. It works great and it gives me good power and extra height for taller hedges

I have the Echo that goes on thier pas unit. Not enough power. Get into anything very woody at all i.e. Burning Bush and it won't hardly cut at all.
