Is there a height setting configuration for the Metro 48" that yeilds the best cut? Best striping? etc...

Obviously this mower was designed to function at many heights, and those heights can be arrived at in a variety of ways (i.e the chart in the manual shows five different configurations to produce a 3" cut.

Which configuration would produce the best 3" cut, or does it really not matter?

Here is my suggestion, this should work very good for you. The height may not be perfect but it should be close to 3".

Put the axle E, 3=1/2", 0=3/16" spaces below.
Put all 4=1/4 spacers below on spindle.

This setting gives you a lot of air space between the deck and the blade. This setting also gives you about 1/4" rake in the machine. Setting your unit like this should make the deck lift and cut the grass great. Give it a try and let us know!

    Thanks, Fred.
