Just wanted to check in and see if there is anyone in the area on this site.
I currently am based out of Solano county and have a website called
    www.thirtydollarlawncare.com .
    I own 6 mowers
    1 trailer
    1 truck
    2 whackers
    1 field trimmer
    1 leaf blower
    1 leaf vacuum

  2. Welcome, but hope you get a lesson real quick if you do all your work for $30.

There have been many that tried that, but the first time your work truck breaks down, when gas prices soar to $5 a gallon, hope your pricing structure survives that.

I haven't been in business surviving and thriving because I will advertise any lawn for $30... A lot of people who have pulled that stunt, well they're no longer around.

Be honest with yourself, would you want to make a 100 per hour or 100 every half hour......don't make money with a fixed rate unless you pic and choose.

Anyways, good luck and may you learn quickly. There's a reason you don't post your price per cut or monthly charge.

I've been doing this awhile now and I definitely pick and choose who gets a cut for thirty bucks. Also, being in the Bay Area there is a bunch of competition. Look on CL , guys out here mow lawns for 17$! I'm looked at as the high priced option a lot of times honestly. Lots of cheap labor around these parts.

    Welcome from Fort Worth, Texas.

Have you planned ahead and secured thirtyfivedollarlawncare.com and fortydollarlawncare.com and fortyfivedollarlawncare.com and fiftydollarlawncare.com, etc. for when your thirtydollarlawncare.com address becomes obsolete?

@AW-No, I haven't secured those domain names yet. Was thinking about changing domain names when this one becomes obsolete.
@SRT8_Yes there is alot of work in these two communities. You've seen how small the lawns are for the new homes, that's why I can offer 30$ service.
You must work out this way too, that's good I'm glad there are some other people around this area that I can talk to now!

I know a lot of the members here on LS think a $30 lawn is crazy, but these are postage stamp sized lawns. you can knock out 5 lawns in an hour if they are all on the same street. Plus they are all new communities so trees are also smaller and that makes for a lot less leaves to have to clean up.

@SRT8-I'm glad that you understand where I'm coming with on the pricing of these lots, its not like we're in Walnut Creek or San Ramon where people have 1/2 acre lots and million dollar homes. I'm doing enough to keep my roof over my head, pay my bills on time , buy a few toys here and there and keep my buddy working part time-That's good enough for me.
Do you work for yourself or for a national company?
