I'm 17, and looking to buy a truck. I am in Fairfield County, Connecticut. Here are the specs. Chevy, 3500, 350 gas, 12 foot rack body with a under body dump, 4x4, 9 foot fisher plow. Interior somewhat worn, body in pretty good shape, new tires. Bottom of the line standard cab with 96,000 miles. How much money should I pay for this. Need replies quick, I am going to bring it in to a local shop to have it inspected. Also, what type of gas mileage should I expect from this. Thanx in advance.

I have a 350 in my Chevy 1500 and it is very powerful for me and it gets what I want done. I would look more at Diesel if you have a lot of work and are serious about the business. Anyways my truck gets 12-15 mpg on a day im not racing around heh. Takes about $40 bucks to fill it.

It depends upon the condition of the vehicle, but it may be worth around $6k? Just a guess though.

As far as mileage goes, you'll be lucky to get above 10. Our 95 3/4 ton 350 with 4.10 gears gets roughly 8-9 (with load in town) on a good day.

NNJLandman -- 12-15 mpg, consider yourself lucky:)

around here that truck would sell for about 8 or 9k becuase of all the extras and its a 94 with 96000 miles "only" all the trucks i looked at had 120-150k miles and were 88-92's and were all about 5000 and didnt have all the extras like that. yea mileage will hurt, thats why i went diesel.
