Im going to pick up a hot box next week but have a customer that needs a patch and wants it done now. It's only 3x10 my question is will asphalt cool to quick in an open small dump trailer? I can get asphalt from plant to site in 15 mins.

Coat it in diesel, load, and hustle.
I've done it in an open dump before. Its not ideal but like you said, its a small load

I do it in my mason dump all the time. Tarp it and coat the body good, I don't know about your plant but the one I go to has a solution spray to keep it from sticking if not like said above just use diesel.
