Help!!! Exmark or John Deere

    Around here Exmark and Scag are still around but Gravely is fast becoming the machine of choice. I think their presence on this site is pretty good evidence of how they have done that. I went Gravely a few years back and I wont be changing.

    I used the red tech last fall it did the same as the 99 model I had.

    I run all exmark. To me its the only way to go. I have had Deere - never again, side by side in my comparison there was no comparison besides it being a "John Deere". Had kubota - did not like the set of machine. Those are my dealers here. I have ran a gravely and I did like it but an hour away for a dealer. I also ran a scag and liked it as well but again an hour away for dealer. Dealer is crucial. Money aside my vote is for exmark.

    I've never ran a JD but I can speak for the Exmark. I love the quality of cut the Exmark gives and I agree with other members that it stripes really well. However, in today's market with all the competition bringing all the mowers up to great standards that have been improving over many years, I would have to recommend going with whichever dealer has the best service department. Your machine is only as good as your service department!!!
