    Hi Guys,

I have a friend who just bought a piece of property in Merritt N.C.
and he is on a tributary which connects to the inter-coastal waterway, so it has tides. I am looking for the best way to install a boat dock. Do i need to use the same methods we use here in CT? Or can i get away cheaper because of no freezing? Any help is appreciated.

    Big Al

The bulding codes would dictate what you have to do.

Tell your buddy to go to the local building code office and get info for the docks. It chages from county to county, we build docks on a local lake here owned by the Army Corps and they are strict on their requirements.
