I dont believe any ZTR mower has actual ZTR steering. to avoid the rivots, I turn about 90 degrees, reverse a little, then turn the other 90 degrees. Works fine.
Goal is to have both wheels spinning while turning.

i do the same type of turning by backing up just a lil bit while im turning in order to keep both wheels moving

Agree with everyone here, slow down, and don't make the whole full turns. On wet surface, go easy on the speed while doing couple turns before heading straight away again. Simple as that.
