    Hi im new to the buisness in Florida, seeing how there is no income toax in FL what do we need to charge for sales tax. Is it 7%

    Chris, I'm in the same boat.. I am new to the business.. in Apopka... I myself wonder what the taxes would be, with that said how to I go about getting a tax ID? Anyone else know what is needed to start a business in the state?

    Don't quote me or anything but my accountant says only comercial customers have to pay the sales tax and the residentials are clear of that. We never used to have to collect any tax in the service industry til recently. The rate I have is %6.5.
