Can someone help out? We have stumbled upon an installation job for an office building. How do we price? Is there anything else we need to do besides what is listed on the blueprints? Should we price the job 50% above cost of materials? And lastly....is it unreasonable to request a 50% deposit upfront? We do not have the means to pay for the supplies and manpower out of pocket.

Any advice for a new installation company would be greatly appreciated.

double cost of materials + labor + other expenses like fuel + profit margin. As far as the rest it depends on the size of the job. Most people get 1/3 down, 1/3 in the middle, and 1/3 at completion.
