Hey, I have a 62" Toro, and I need to replace the starter. The starter is visible, which is good. I just need some advice on where to start and any recommendations on how to replace the starter the best way.

Also, what tools do I need? About how long should it take me to remove the old starter and replace the new one?

    Thanks for any advice,

    Harold

Read the second thread in this forum, should be a bolt on/off deal otherwise.

    Replacement Starter Kohler PN 25 098 09-S

2 bolts hold the starter to the engine. There is a small blue wire that connects to the spade terminal on the solenoid, and usually a larger red wire that connects to the top stud (held on by a nut).
