ADVICE...Get experience running your business FIRST before jumping for a BIG JOB! If you've got to ask someone that has never seen it, YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE. DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT COSTS YOU TO OPERATE YOUR BUSINESS???? Do you have insurance? If not, I'd bet this big job will want you to have it! IF YOU BID THIS WRONG & GET THE JOB, it could KILL YOUR BUSINESS before you even get started!!!

    First:
1] what type of mower sizes are you using?
2] how long would it take for one unit?
3] how many guys will be doing it with you?
    4]how many weeks between mows?

In addition to questions asked by the previous responder.....

How many linear feet to be EDGED?

By trimmed, do you mean bushes? Because if you are only (string) trimming around the 85 building 3 times a year, it will be 6 feet high each time!

What happened to the guy that was doing it last year? Why are they changing (thinking about it)?

DO YOU HAVE the EQUIPMENT & MANPOWER & SYSTEMS in place to handle such a big job?

Do you have the CASH FLOW? (Or are they paying you UP FRONT? NOT!)

Not trying to bust balls on this matter. But you just posted VERY VAGUE details and want answers. Besides, what does it matter? You go in with YOUR BID and either get it or don't! You bid it to make a PROFIT for YOU! Someone will come in & do it for $10 a unit x 85 = $850 (or LESS) a week & think they are RICH, only to find out that they are LOSING MONEY!

they were unhappy with the job that they did their lawn crew came through and weed whipped 60% of the homes. hmm sounds like they should of gotten rid of them. i have the price of what the other company charged i just wanted to compare it other opinions. and then compare it to mine. it will be one full day of mowing if that.
