Help Painting My Trailer

    I will be sandblasting and repainting my trailer with automotive paint next year. But in the meanwhile, I would like to paint it black. It has surface rust on a lot of it. Would you guys just paint it with black spray paint, or use a primer and then spray with black spray paint just for now?

    Why not blast and paint now? Painting it now, then blasting in a few months is wasting money.

    I just don't have the time now to take it to the shop and have it blasted. I figure it would only take me an hour or two to paint it. And I can get like 10 cans of black paint for like $10.

    I just painted mine and used rustolen mixed with paint hardner and it took me like a hour
