I am having to install a 200x300 section of Bermuda sod on a military base. They demand that the joints be sanded. Has anyone came up with a contraption better than wheelbarrows, buckets, and shovels? There has to be something easier than that. It's going to take forever. Any ideas?

You'll have to look into sanding/leveling equipment for golf course maintenance.

A topdressing machine might be an option, but it's going to spread sand over the entire area. Pull a drag mat over the area will help get it in the joints. Although I might be a little leery about pulling something over it before it roots. Just a thought.

It's definitely a two part process. Install sod and roll. Then come back and sand it. The problem is you'll have to rent or buy a machine to do it right
