I see some members asking for prices of what different people charge in different areas, so I thought I would try one, and see if I'm in the ball park.

    Input appreciated.

Commercial car care center located 15 minutes from me.
All trees and shrubs will be delivered to job site.

    9 CLASS (A) live oaks 10' tall and 2 1/2" cal.

    9 CLASS (B) Wax myrtle 8' tall and 2 1/2" cal.

    1 CLASS (B) River birch 8' tall and 2 1/2" cal.

8 shrubs In. Hawthorne & Eleagnus 5 gallon

    5 azaleas 3 gallon

Mulch, fert., and labor. Most likely will rent excavator to drag trees around and dig the holes.

    Thanks gents.

I think the labor is at least $4,000 (that is a very rough calculation). The markup on material obviously depends on what kind of pricing you're getting vs. what these items sell for retail, in your area. One thing to keep in mind is that many landscapers should be charging enough money to plant trees and shrubs correctly - holes for trees dug up to 3 times larger than rootball, etc., some sort've drainage system for trees (gravel below soil below rootball, etc.) and the Azaleas: What are you using to amend the soil for these as compared to the India Hawthorn and Eleagnus and so on? I realize that this is a car care center but this still begs the question about proper technique vs. "what many companies might do"...like throw everything in the ground! ;) Will the client care about proper install? Are you working for the owners or for a contractor in new construction?
