I have a customer that wants a 55' by 55' foot area to be seeded so that there will be grass eventually. He didn't want to do sod as it was extremely expensive just for the sod. I have never done a seed job but have done sod jobs. I am worried that I will do it and it either won't come out or will die off. I've never heard of seed jobs doing very well. I brought in about 8 or so yards of dirt and leveled it out. Do I just throw the fertilizer and seed in and rake it in?

    thanks.

how much should I be charging a sq. foot? it is about a 60x70 area. I brought in about 8-9 yards of dirt to level the yard and worked the seed into that.

$20.00/k for 4 lbs/k if done with starter fertilizer

um...sorry i'm lost on your post. $20 per k? I was wondering how much to charge for bringing in 9 tons of dirt and leveling/working seed in.

Sorry, thats just what I charge for seeding. I would double the cost of the dirt inc delivery and add $45.00/man hour
