Hey everybody. It's been a long time since i have been on this site and i need some help. After doing lawn care underage for so long it is time that i get legal now that i am 18.
My question is, should i wait to get my business license until next year because i havnt worked this year or should i get it now and just start back up next year? Sorry if this is confusing

You can probably wait. Have you talked to a CPA or tax advisor?

I wonder if they would charge you a full-year price for a license in mid-July/Aug.

Are you going to do fall clean-ups or snow removale on commercial properties?

If you are only going to work the next few weeks and re-start next spring, I would wait until next year. But, if commercial or industrial accounts are involved, and you're going to work through winter, then I'd check into the license.

Are you operating? Yes? Get a license and insurance asap............VA license is $100.....nothing. My insurance is $500ish for $2mil liability for a year.
