hemlocks

    got a call on some work, one of the things is pruning of a couple of hemlocks., don't remember much on these trees and thinking about passing up. would like to find out however, if trimming hemlocks in hot, hot weather is bad idea. (temp. been inninties). if that the case how much time should wait? could wait? ,haven't been able to find much on this tonite and any help would be appreciated. bare spot

    I trim quite a few Canadian Hemlocks in the summer months every year. Never had a problem.

    rodfather, thanks for the reply. place is a couple doors down from where grew up, looks like a nice job.

    Hemlocks grow no matter what...they are great trees to shape

    great tree, favorite tree, planted earier this year. landscaping 101 for me after not doing for years.

    Shake them a few times with a rake before pruning...hornets love to nest in them
