Hey Dixie Gurus need your input

    Have you guys ever thought of putting engine oil coolers on the dixies I now have a XXWD2600 and its the diesel and I was thinking of putting engine oil cooler on it what do you think or is it over kill thanks!

    It's probably overkill on that machine since it's water cooled already. Water cooled run significantly cooler than air cooled and Kohler air cooled engines on DC's have oil coolers as well...........Lynn

    What Lynn said is correct. In addition diesels almost always run cooler than gas engines anyways. So I would definetly say it would be overkill X5 if you added anything to that engine. I would guess you could get 5000 hours out of that engine with decent maintenance and 8000+ with good maintenance.

    Oil coolers are of more benefit on a turbo charged diesel as the turbo is oil cooled thus heating the crankcase oil to break down temps 250+, you will be all right with out one.:)
