It seem that mowers are getting very hi tech, fuel injection, diesel, intergrated pump/motors,liquid cooled, etc, all this is very nice but at what price?I'm sure the fuel milage will be better, the engines will last longer but what happens when something breaks, how much more will it cost to fix?If a L/C engine last 50% more than a A/C what about the rest of the mower, pump, motors, etc.,how long will they last?I read the post about SCAG dropping the A/C Vangaurd in the TT and charging $2,300 more for the L/C,thats just crazy. The tech at my dealer said theres a landscaper with two Kohler powered mowers with over 4000 hrs each on them, theres still a lot to be said for low tech.

I remember auto mechanics saying the same things 20-25 years ago when carburetors and distributors went away....

I'll take my fuel injection and electronic ignition thank you.

    Time marches on.
