    Best of luck to you.

With the money you're saving on the booster pump you can buy some micro brew for the crew! :)

We should have your city guys talk to my city guys sometime... My city built a nice new water tower several years ago, only problem is, they cant fill it all the way or the pressure starts blowing all the city water mains out of the ground :hammerhead:

cjohn: You laugh, but I have a zone in my front yard that is "allegedly" running about 30 or so gpm through a 5/8" meter and 1" line from the street (city pressure about 70). it aint pretty and I hate it, hammers like hell in the house when the zone shuts off, but nothing I can do about it... :wall

You will do something about it when your plumbing blows apart in your house.

I never said it was the best idea. In that case with 42gpm we had a dynamic of about 15psi i believe, 2" main, master valve, pressure regulators on the valves.

Installed the PRV today before the valves knocking the static down to around 70 PSI right before the valves. This caused the water hammer to cease as well as my rainbird 5000 rotors to spray more consistently with minimal misting compared to before!

Thank you everyone! Cheers to you
