I hope someone reading this has been down this road before me. I have one of those high tailgate trailers. I wanted to be able to remove this tailgate at times so I tried knocking the pins out of the hinges and they would not budge.

I cut the pins between the joints of the welded pipes and was able to knock out the pins on the hinge joint on the gate. However the pins on the trailer part seem to be pressed in at some point with maybe a dimple holding them.

If I can't get the remaining piece of the pin out of the other half of the hinge it seems I have two choices. One try drilling out the 3/4" pin or cutting that piece of pipe off the trailer and welding a new piece on.

    Anyone got any ideas ?
