Hiring professional help I posted this question in the Pesticide forum. But I am not getting the response I am looking for. Therefore I am posting it in the commercial lawn care forum because it has a higher number of members reading it. My question is what is the best way to hire or advertise for a Spray tech here in Florida? 1. Should I look for a person with a good attitude and some experience in the green Industry and train them? 2. Should I look for a person with a good attitude and a lot of Experience in the green Industry and Train them? 3. Should I look for a person with a background spraying here in Florida? In any case I want this employee to stay with me year round and for many years if they are good. I can offer them training in many areas of the Green Industry. The Job is for a full time spray tech however that person would also be called upon to do irrigation. They would also be asked to work on the landscape installation and nurseries from time to time. Inside of a few years this person could walk away with all the same certification that I have. The main ones being CPO, Irrigation and Commercial Landscape Contractor. The next town south of me has a college that offers a Horticulture Degree at night. Therefore a sharp person could be set for life in the Green Industry in just a few short years. I feel I am offering an opportunity not a job. How can I get this point across in an advertisement for help wanted?
