We are giving serious consideration to expanding our maintenance division to include service to HOA's and office parks, currently we service high-end residential and stand alone businesses. Other than beating down doors and cold calling to get a meeting with the property managers does anyone have any exp. getting in the door? The only in we have so far are several snow contracts for these kinds of businesses. Also what are the pitfalls of trying to get into this market? We will need to make an investment in equipment and a vehicle, we have a spare trailer, small blowers, string trimmers, we need a truck and some more or bigger mowers. We are based in a "country area" and will likely have to travel up to an hour to land these kinds of contracts, or possibly store the truck/trailer nearer the work. I guess we'll see.
