I got a Homelite Chainsaw that has developed a No Spark Condition... Anybody have any ideas on the cause and roughly the cost to regain spark... The saw is roughly a early 80s saw so I do not want to spend alot of $$$... Thanks... Woody

In my shop all Homelite products go directly in the garbage.

Disconnect the kill lead at the coil then check spark again.

If no spark, my guess a replacement coil will run you in the neighborhood of 30 -40 bucks. Probably not a cost effective move on a 30 year old saw. Let your conscience be your guide.

    Dumpster material!

You can find a descent stihl in the pawn shop or craigslist.
The last chain saw I bought was on craigslist $200 for a ms 310.
