    I already have
Toro lawn mower 21in (so far so good)
Homelite string trimmer (home depot special and is still running strong)
    redmax eb7001 (best blower ever!)
craftsman hedge trimmer ( its time to go gas powered)

Just wondering what to get thinking of going with redmax or stihl:usflag:

Redmax and Stihl are excellent. Not inexpensive. After a lot of research here, we bought an Echo HC 150 at Home Cheapo for $269.95. Light, fast, reliable. Love it.

Do you find the echo is much faster than the electirc plug in type?

269$ for the echo so i guess the redmax and stihl would run me like 400 bucks or so huh.. I think i just might get that echo ,, thanks man

Get Echo! Yes it's faster and more powerful than an electric one; otherwise pro's would all be using electric models.
    Stihl is good too.

Echo doesn't compare to Redmax. I've used and owned enough equipment from both. Some Echo stuff isn't bad. Just don't go to home depot. They don't carry the commercial stuff.
...And yes, that hedge trimmer rocks. I got it because it weighs 9.5lbs and was very impressed with it's performance.
