How do these Stack up to other brands. The one I'm looking at is a 6x12 with 3500 lb axles low profile. He is asking 3800 used.

Defintly not worth $3800. Once u subtract the weight of the trailer you can only carry maybe 3000#s. a 6x12 is a little trailer to begin with, i couldnt imagine having a dump that small. But it may fit your needs. Id haggle him down a good bit.

Payload on it is 4500 I believe. Yea I'm not much on the price but they are hard to find anything less than 3500k around here. I've been looking for a one ton dump for a long time but haven't found anything yet. I'm solo and part time so it would fit me just would rather have a dump truck. Missed one in DC for 5k 2001 gmc 3500hd 12000 miles it was a cemetery truck. Yes 12,000 miles.

you'd be better off getting a dump truck imo. I watch for them every week or two and if you only plan to run a dump around town, get a cheaper 90s model 3500 or similar. you'd have more payload, more maneuverability and less $.

Yea that's what I've been thinking but a guy I work with wanted to go in halfs on the dump trailer. But I'd still need a bigger truck to pull it. I guess I'm back searching for dump trucks. Is homesteader a good brand though?

I have a 6x12 and I dont know how I worked without it. My trailer is dual axel though. The only complain I had was the way they mounted the brake lights at the bottom of the trailer. The lights would bend and break whenever I would dump on rugged terian. I've sinced move them to the fenders and haven't had a problem.
