Took carb apart today got the pilot jet and other jets soaking in acetone over night. Going to clean them in the morning and re install. Ill let you know what happens. Restrorob- Whats your opinion on honda v-twin 20 hp's vs the kolher command v twin 20hp's
Well it's up to you to make them last I have kohlers 20hp on walker mowers with 3000 hours
And 20hp Hondas on pressure washers with over that so in my opinion it's up to the operator
Well, All I can say is this......If I personally needed a engine, It would be a Honda.....
Still having the same issue!!! Let jets sit over night with acetone. Scraped insides of jet with acetylene nozzle cleaner. Could it be something internally wrong with carb? If i unplug one spark plug cap it runs fine or still run with choke. Im really stumped here. I bought the machine from an estate sale about 3 weeks ago. Really don't know what it could be.
If you plug that one back on and remove the other one what happens ?
same thing runs good. Doesn't matter what side i unplug. Its not like it completely dies if the coil wasn't firing on one side. If it was a coil it would still be surging at WOT with choke out or not. Could it be a weak coil? i was always under impression they either fired or didn't? any tests? Im starting to think i might be best just replacing the carb.

Give me the spec and serial number off this engine, The spec will be 3 or 4 letters with a possible number within it......
