Ive got a few of these motors that Im tearing apart for scrap, first one is down to the crankshaft, flywheel, and the case half.

Is there a way to get around removing the flywheel with out a puller? Ive never had to have one of these down this far, they are already off the mowers, if I do need a puller if someone could help me out with a part number that would be great! These are all the plastic top engines.

    Thanks!!

Take a big screwdriver or a prybar, whatever, and wedge between the flywheel and case, exerting upward pressure. Then, after you have taken off the crank nut, whack the crank with a hammer. Should pop right off. If yer savin the crank, leave the nut threaded on till flush with the crank.

Ya, already tried that with out any luck, could probably pull it off if it was still mounted to a mower but half of these arent, one day I will get a giant heavy work bench with a monster vice on it, but dont have one at the moment.

Im probably going to get a puller for it, anyone have the part number?

    thanks!
