I just got my hands on a Hustler with a 16 Horse V-twin Honda 350cc. I mentioned to the dealer, a cool guy, that I run synthetic in all of my vehicles, but he warned me that Honda has been having trouble with synthetic in their motors.

Is this a well-known fact in the industry? What is the problem, specifically? Is there any official statement by Honda out there about this?

I have no facts, or even rumors on this at all. The only thing I can say is logic would tell me that it's not true. What would make a Honda motor so different that it can't run on synthetic? While we can debate the effectivness of synthetics, synthetics work anywhere dino oils work. I just can't see that being true, but would be interested in the cause if it is.

Sounds very illogical to me too, hence the post. Simply put, synthetic does the same job as regular oil, only a billion times better. Doesn't make sense.
